Below are the first photos ever to be taken of The Crystal of Moirai which is the hidden focal point of the entire Journeybook
Series. The 22 chapter series chronicles the placement of 22 hand
carved stone votives to Hera and with each the tests that came within
each adventure in order to empower the Crystal of Moirai in a 25 part 9
month long ritual.
(Also Shown) A fragment of the original crystal called "The Shard of Moirai" was cut and placed in the hand of Hera, binding Hera to the crystal itself.
In the final chapter of 'The Journeybook' ("Apotheosis") the crystal is to be carried on a journey in excess of 70 miles (via mountain bike and cross country hiking) to 5 different locations. The first three locations are linked to the Sisters of Fate for which the crystal takes its name. The forth location is into a cave (The Underworld) where an underworld ritual is to be held to empower the crystal. The fifth location is a climb out of the underworld and up to the highest peak of the eastern valley wall where the final votive to Hera will be placed during the ritual of Heavenly Blessings on The Crystal of Moirai.
When the rituals are completed there remains the journey back to the Altar of Hera where the newly blessed crystal is to be placed before the Goddess - ending the final chapter of 'The Journeybook'.
The crystal is shown here resting on a bed of sand (representing the Sands of Time) on a pedestal designed specifically for the crystal - made from moss covered willow wood from a tree that was knocked down in the winds of the "monster storm" that whipped out the east coast of the U.S.
